Nathan Fillion, no matter what show he does, always brings that amazing charm he has. I will follow Nathan Fillion where ever he goes. Hopefully season 2 will be even better than season 1 and maybe Nathan will WIN that Emmy he so deserves.

I had faith in the fact that if they had written a character that Nathan could pull off, they knew what they were getting themselves into! He's charismatic and can draw you into the story so easily. The chemistry with him and Stana is the perfect mix of tension and frustration, which makes it easy to watch them. The show all in all is a WIN and I'd love to WIN DVDs so I could share them with my friends and family.

I LOVE Castle!! There are so many crime shows out now (I've lost count of how many CSI and NCSI shows there are) but none of them compare to Castle - it's in it's own genre of crime shows! Plus, you've got Nathan Fillion, which any Joss Whedon fan knows is a sure fire hit on the screen! As a Firefly fan, I LOVE the browncoat references he sneaks into the scripts! =)

Although I'd very much like to WIN the DVD set, I have to make an honest comment on the review. Why all the negativity? I'm surprised that this review began with things the writer disliked about the show and moving on to a positive recommendation, as opposed to making the recommendation clear from the start then moving on to explain why one may have been tentative about it's overall quality. Castle is a lot of fun to watch and Fillion's charm, cheeky though it may be, is in integral and amusing part of the show's attraction.

The reason is probably that my general attitude toward the show is more hesitation than not. I don't think it's for everyone, and in the particular case, I think I'd rather start with - here's why it's not for everyone, but here's why you should give it a shot.

Like you, I was put off at the beginning of the series. I watched a few episodes & decided I didn't like the show. However, a good amount of my friends are avid viewers & I decided to give it another chance when the season two premiere rolled around last week. Boy, am I glad I did! It certainly hit a stride - clearly after I stopped watching during the first season. I caught up on the last four episodes of season one, which were on the ABC website. I would absolutey love to WIN the DVD set so that I can catch up on the rest.

ABC has a real WINner on their hands with this show, in my opinion. Not only are Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic wonderful together but Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas (especially in the most recent episode) are fantastic as well! The whole cast absolutely makes this show what it is. They just work so well as a whole.
I've recommended it to everyone I know and they all love the show as well.
It's definitely a hit!

Gotta love the clip(s): Fillion as Castle with his description of the dead model ... and the bit prior to the actual clip about who was murdered and was it gruesome was classic

WIN! I agree that Castle could get lost in all the cop/mystery shows on TV now, but I wanted to watch it because of Nathan Fillion, and hopefully many others are doing the same. I thought he was awesome in Firefly and was glad to see that he found a new show. I think he's doing a great job - love his character! So I hope I win the DVD set so I can add it to my Nathan Fillion collection.

I agree with the reviewers assessment of the show, it deserves to be on air for a long, long time. I would love to win a copy of the DVDs to add to my collection. Nathan Fillion has become one of my favorite actors. I can't wait to see Castle every week just to see what's going to happen next.

I would <3 to WIN the 1st season of Castle on DVD. It's truly one of the best well written shows that isn't well known. Castle is reminiscent of wicked banter done in classic TV shows and movies. It's one of my favorite shows. This season is already turning out to be a bombshell!!!

I have to agree, the show is great. The chemistry between Beckett and Castle is wonderful to watch and I love how they continue to build on the characters. It would be great to WIN the DVD for the first season and be able to watch them whenever I want.

Prior to stumbling across this review I had never heard of Castle. Now that I have I watched the first few episodes online and I am hooked. If I do not win the box set I may need to purchase it just to see if the series can keep its charm.
