I just stumbled into the show on youtube, and I have to say, I don't think Karen was entirely wrong. Her husband was just kind of loafing around without a purpose, as even he put it at one point, "directionless". The fact is, when the man won't step up and lead, the woman has to or the family flounders. Just as so many women who had the sorry luck to marry whiny, immature men have had to do, for the sake of herself and her children she had no other choice but to lead the family herself. Most women in that situation basically become the man they wished they'd married.... the person who knows what is happening, knows what needs to happen next, has a clear vision of how to get from here to there, and has the energy, engagement, and commitment to lead the family to that goal.

I do agree that she trash talked the Clunes a bit much, but given some of their behavior (cheating with modern stuff every chance they got, letting their young children chug homebrewed alcohol, etc.) she wasn't wrong there, either.

The attacks on Karen strike me as more misogynistic than anything else. Isn't it interesting how men who are intelligent, confident, hardworking, goal-oriented guys with the courage to call other people out on their bullshit are never accused of being pushy, b***chy, or insane? Instead, they are lionized by one and all, and roundly applauded for their strength, bravery, and leadership.

How dare you say that this series is slow! You mean it’s a slow burn. The kind that eventually sends you straight to the clinic. Andor is without a doubt the most grown up Star Wars to date (whatever that means). This is the best series written by any Star Wars content creator to date. With its unforgettable characters to its genius plot lines that will keep the audience guessing at every turn. The CGI is nearly perfect as well. I prefer to watch tv for strictly the CGI. Dialogue, and character arches are overrated. Andor is truly a hit against the “Trumpian MAGA” dystopia we live in today (even though Smokin Joe Biden has been president for nearly two years now). It’s definitely not for the Baby Yoda crowd. And, I also love how the show manages to simultaneously tell the story of the “immigrant Latino migrant”. Because as a Puerto Rican American this couldn’t possibly speak louder to me…

That's the point of the site, pally. If you don't like it, that's tough. :-) Oh, and, I don't see in my reply where I attacked you personally. The show is cheap and cynically produced, if you can't see that, I am in awe. The gay/non-binary actor was excellent in Sandman, but is rubbish in this. They obviously don't rate it either if they are not prepared to put their heart into it.

Makes Equalizer look like a big budget series. The back projection when driving, the crappy chroma key when the hologram cypher loses contact, the nonsensical editing, the one take performances - all speak to a production without any enthusiasm or money.

The script even makes poor old Ernie Hudson say some really stupid dialogue, and what is he a boss of anyway? The characters don't defer anything to him, he has no authority, weak sauce is left. Why is the token gay character so upset? I can't remember. Maybe it was being a camp actir in such a badly acted show doesn't work. No, I think it's because after the intro to a-ha's excellent "Take on Me", the show cuts to commercial before the vocals and returns to "Blue Monday" instead, after the break. And the treatment of Bowie's music is execrable. Surely using the large fees payable for music rights might have been better spent on the actual production?

The acting from all and sundry sucks. In fact I don't think there are any actors in this, I think it's an actual world from Westworld and the characters are rubbish robots. This will be cancelled after a very few episodes unless someone lets the adults write and produce the show.

I just saw this. After looking forward for seeing it for months now, it was a real let down.
All kinds of end of the world and robot humor cliches, including anthropomorphizing a robot.
I think Im being kind rating this at 4/10.

It seems terrorism is a recognisable plot device for the target audience, great review. I could never get into Asimov's novels, and the TV Series grabbed my interest momentarily. I am too old for the BS that passes for thought-provoking science fiction. There is so much concern with commercial success, that critical elements of storytelling get swept aside. At least they tried, even if they did not succeed.

Very true this review, the story, the theory and the action scenes are really to stupid for words. The job the actors do is something different; they do a fine job ... most of them do at least. I did see all three seasons because I don't want to put something down that I didn't fully see but it was very frustrating to watch this nonsense and all the stupid decisions the protagonists make for the story to kind of work and I would have liked to give up at several points.

Anyhow if you have even a bit of knowledge of science in general, biology and animal behaviour specific or like a good story than this is certainly nothing for you! Too bad for the actors certainly the main characters.

Jim's wife is Anna, huh? How can anyone watch the hours and hours and hours of this series, hearing the parents and the "boyfriend" Whitey many, many times referring to teenaged daughter Anna, and come away thinking that Jim's wife is named Anna? Well, I suppose only a "critic" who would also duplicate an entire paragraph in their review. Did you get paid by the word for this? If so, you owe a refund for your duplication, if not for the fact that you obviously didn't even see this series.

Breeders tv show previews looked promising of a very funny show.

Season 1 episode 1 starts with such extreme offensive vulgarity, and in front of small children, it SHOULD be banned. Except this society has been so perverted by you, and other 'entertainment' industry, that I will just have to 'un-favorite' the cable channel.

If you have any concern for decency in society you won't watch this. And, should add your review.

NBC...should be 'nuff said but I tried an episode to see if Smits was working or just getting paid. I got thirty seconds in and switched off on the young woman cute-complaining about her wife not taking her coming LGBTQ award seriously. I came back later and lasted another thirty seconds before switching off on a sermon about the cost of healthcare under this administration. Who watches TV to be preached to? Not me...and, I suspect, not too many other Americans either.

Up to end of episodes 4. Doubtful I will continue. Rated it 2 out if 10 so far. Plot has no credibility. Characters cardboard cutouts. Can't see much in Roth's either yet. Soundtrack irritating and takes away from the program.
