Having never read the book or been part of the comic book world, I have not read anything on this movie that appeals to be, violence in cinematic perfection is unlikely to do so and, although I find the concept of how far one is willing to go for the greater good an intriguing question, I'm already disgusted with our current reality and the damage we do.


I even wrote a sword and sorcery novel with a great deal of violence in it, so I can understand its use judiciously. But I'm going to need truly inviting characters or something else compelling to put myself through more the the kind of violence that is becoming part and parcel of adventure flicks. And I don't consider myself squeamish in the least: Saving Private Ryan, Rambo IV, Wanted

Rocket Scientist discussed the contest she won on your blog today. She also said you give great movie reviews for those of us who like movies. It just so happened that I have been wanting to know whether "Watchmen" was going to be all that and a bag of chips. You said, "Watchmen is a dark, disturbing, supremely violent film"--and that's really all I need to know. I'm going to check it out right away. Thanks for the review!
